Bank Degroof Petercam to celebrate 30 year presence in Luxemburg

Bank Degroof Petercam celebrates its 30th anniversary in Luxemburg.

The history of Petercam and Degroof in Luxemburg dates back to 1985 and 1987 respectively. The bank gradually transformed from a handful of ​ initial collaborators into an organization employing close to 350 people, all active in a proprietary building at the Cloche d’Or.

For the occasion, the Prime Minister of Luxemburg, Xavier Bettel, sent a video message with his congratulations. ​

Diversified solutions and in-depth expertise at the benefit of clients

The Private Banking division services mainly European clients, who benefit from the expertise of the Luxemburg entity, as the bank’s ‘international hub’ at group level, for all matters relating to the international wealth structuring. ​ The Asset Services division is in charge of the administration and custody of funds, including both group and third-party funds.

Nearly 300 funds or sub-funds - totaling close to EUR 35 billion - are entrusted to Banque Degroof Petercam Luxembourg and its subsidiary, Degroof Petercam Asset Services (DPAS). The volume of third-party funds is recording a strong growth, with nearly a third of assets for 75 issuers from 14 countries in Europe, Asia and North America. ​

Over the past three decades, the Luxembourg entity has continued to enrich its range of activities and advisory with various complementary services. Local and international clients regularly draw on the group's expertise in Corporate Finance, Private Equity and financial market activities and credits. The Bank is equally active in Luxembourg in the field of philanthropy and art advisory.
