Evolutions at the Executive Committee of Degroof Petercam

Jan Longeval, member of the Group Executive Committee, director of Bank Degroof Petercam and Co-CEO of Institutional Asset Management will resign at the end of November. His management functions within Institutional Asset Management will be taken over by Hugo Lasat, Co-CEO Institutional Asset Management and chairman of the Executive committee of Degroof Petercam AM (Degroof Petercam Asset Management).

Philippe Masset, CEO Degroof Petercam: “On behalf of the board of directors, the executive committee and all the colleagues of Degroof Petercam, we wish to thank Jan Longeval for his longtime engagement and countless achievements. He developed our institutional franchise into a world-class player. Thanks to his professional guidance, Jan Longeval leaves behind a solid team of experts with a leading market position. Under the leadership of Hugo Lasat, the team views the future with great confidence. ”

Jan Longeval: “The merger of Institutional Asset Management has been successfully completed. Our teams and investment processes have been successfully integrated. Our funds show solid performances and are awarded one prize after the other. We have a record level of AUM and a +40% market share in the Belgian pension fund sector. As I made clear at the time of the merger, a Co-CEO model has its advantages during the integration phase, but does not constitute a long term solution as far as I am concerned. It was essential for me not to abandon my teams. Now that everything is thriving, the time has come to step out of this model. I am grateful to the bank for giving me every opportunity and I view the future success of Degroof Petercam Asset Management with confidence. ”
