Alain Philippson steps down as member of the Board of Degroof Petercam

The Board of Directors of Degroof Petercam acknowledged the decision of Alain Philippson to step down as a member of the Board on 31 December 2019, after spending more than 45 years with the company.
Mr. Philippson (°1939) started his professional journey with Degroof Petercam in 1972 and devoted his entire life to the group. He held a number of executive roles and also acted as member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Degroof Petercam.
For almost five decades, as a representative of one of the reference shareholder in a multi-family owned independent group, Mr. Philippson has played a key role in the sustainable growth of Degroof Petercam.
The Board of Directors of Degroof Petercam would like to express its gratitude to Alain Philippson for his countless and relentless contributions to Degroof Petercam as well as for his commitment to philanthropy and charitable causes during all these years. The Board looks forward to continue to count on his support and that of his family to pursue the group’s long-term development, capitalizing on its unique inheritance since 1871.
The procedure for Alain Philippson’s replacement at the Board is ongoing. More details will follow as soon as the nomination of a new Board member is approved.
