AN EXCEPTIONAL PRODUCTIVE AWARDS SEASON

Degroof Petercam praised in different categories

Since the beginning of 2017, Bank Degroof Petercam has received more than 20 awards granted by various institutions across several categories.
The bank is being praised for the quality of its service provision in private banking, for that of its funds, for its role as an investment bank and liquidity provider on the Belgian market, and for being a desirable employer.
The bank’s increasing international scope is also being confirmed, as evidenced by the awards granted in Italy, Austria, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Germany.

Fund awards

The bank’s fund management arm, Degroof Petercam Asset Management, recently won two awards granted by Belgian quality newspapers De Tijd / L’Echo for best fixed-income fund manager and for best US equity fund. Belgian quality newspapers De Standaard and La Libre Belgique gave the funds managing European shares and covering global equity markets a Crystal Award. Morningstar once again honoured our Belgian equity fund.
Internationally, Thomson Reuters Lippers granted the fund managers no less than 14 awards with a focus on, among other things, sustainability, high-yield bonds, emerging markets, inflation and real estate.

Awards for private banking, investment banking and for the bank being a desirable employer

Last but not least, the bank received a prize from Euronext as the best liquidity provider for the seventh consecutive year, and a prize from Euromoney for best private bank for the second consecutive year.

In France, Degroof Petercam holds the fifth place in the ranking ‘financial advisory for mid and small caps’ of the ‘Magazine des Affaires’. On a European level Degroof Petercam enters the top 5 in terms of private placements of bonds in Europe by Dealogic.

Recognition of the bank as an attractive employer

Degroof Petercam also made its mark as an employer: at the end of 2016 the bank was one of the top-3 most sought-after employers in Brussels according to the Randstad ranking. On top of this, our Head of HR, Jean-Marc Verbist, is one of the five laureates for the HR Manager of the Year Award attributed by the business weekly Trends-Tendances. The ceremony takes place April 25th.

We consider these external awards as a token of appreciation for the efforts our colleagues make every single day to provide our clients with optimal service. The ambition to do things better every time is engrained in our DNA,” says Philippe Masset, CEO of Bank Degroof Petercam.
