The grand prize of the Degroof Petercam Foundation is awarded to the initiative Ticket for Change

Degroof Petercam is pleased to announce that Ticket for Change is the winner of this year's Degroof Petercam Foundation prize. This collective aiming at training and creating jobs contributing to the ecological and social transition has been awarded a grant of one million euros, spread over five years, and will also benefit from the expertise and network of the Foundation. Alongside this winner, the Foundation is also rewarding five other projects, Armen Te Kort and Gojob, each receiving a grant of 50,000 euros, as well as Chance.org, Sport dans la Ville and Fondation Crésus, each receiving a grant of 20,000 euros.

Created in 2008, the Degroof Petercam Foundation's mission is to support social innovations for employment by focusing on three main areas: tomorrow's skills, entrepreneurship and working towards a more inclusive labor market. Each year, the Foundation selects and supports a new project with a solution for employment with a grant and tailored coaching. The Foundation's first award consists of a one million euro grant and personalized follow-up over five years.

Ticket for Change, a French initiative that trains and brings together people who want to put positive societal impact at the heart of their work, is this year's grand prize winner. The subject fits perfectly with the current trend if we consider that in Belgium, according to a recent study conducted by the European Commission1, one out of three newly created companies is a company with a social vocation. In 7 years, more than 120,000 people have participated in Ticket for Change programs to activate their talents and put them at the service of society through their work.

Matthieu Dardaillon, chairman and co-founder of Ticket for Change: "We are very honored by this recognition which demonstrates the relevance of our action. With Ticket for Change, we offer training and tools so that everyone can activate their talents to solve current social and environmental challenges. We accompany impact entrepreneurs, companies in their transitions and people in search of employment. We want to reconcile employment and positive impact. This award from the Degroof Petercam Foundation allows us to accelerate our change of scale with, in particular, the launch of new initiatives in Belgium in sight. "

This prize awarded by the Degroof Petercam Foundation is part of the group's broader strategy to create responsible prosperity for all, by opening doors to opportunities and making its expertise available.

Xavier Van Campenhout, chairman of the Degroof Petercam Foundation: "Philanthropy is an integral part of Degroof Petercam and we encourage it on an ongoing basis among the group's employees through participative social commitment but also through the Foundation's support program for employment. After a selection process that involved some 15 candidates, we are delighted to offer our financial and human support to Ticket for Change in their expansion in Belgium and elsewhere. Faithful to its mission, the Foundation thus allows a concrete solution to societal challenges to move to a new stage of its development. "

The Degroof Petercam Foundation is awarding its prize for the third consecutive year. Previous winners are Bayes Impact (2020) and DUO for a JOB (2019). Thanks to the support of the Foundation, Bayes Impact was able to launch its Bob Emploi tool in Belgium. DUO for a JOB also continued its expansion to Paris, Lille and Rotterdam from Belgium.
